Founded in 1993, the Utah Valley Handbell Choir is proud to be Utah’s oldest community handbell ensemble. With over three decades of commitment to musical excellence, we serve as a vital cultural institution within the Utah Valley community. Our ensemble consists of dedicated musicians from diverse backgrounds, united by a profound appreciation for the art of handbell ringing.
Our threefold mission—Entertain, Educate, Enrich—guides everything we do. We entertain audiences with a varied repertoire that includes original compositions, classical masterpieces, folk tunes, and contemporary hits. Our performances engage and inspire, providing an enjoyable experience for all. We are also committed to education, offering opportunities for members and the community to learn about handbell techniques and history, fostering a deeper appreciation for this unique art form. Additionally, we aim to enrich lives through the beauty of music, creating connections and memorable experiences for our audiences.
Operating within two performance seasons—winter and spring—we present concerts at various venues, from libraries to concert halls. Our seasonal engagements reflect the diverse cultural landscape of our community, showcasing the intricate harmonies and rich textures that handbells offer. The choir performs on five octaves of Malmark handbells and six octaves of Malmark Choirchimes.
As an integral part of the Utah Valley community, the Utah Valley Handbell Choir is dedicated to promoting the art of handbell ringing and inspiring future generations of musicians and music lovers. Join us in celebrating the joy and harmony that handbells bring to our lives!
