The mission of the Utah Valley Handbell Choir is threefold – to Entertain, Educate, and Enrich.
Entertain – We seek to provide quality musical experiences to our community. We perform for diverse audiences and make musical selections based on what will provide the most enjoyment. People often associate handbells with religious and seasonal music, but we also like to play popular music, movie themes, and other music meant to entertain.
Educate – Because handbells are not very prevalent in the western United States, we feel it is important to teach anyone and everyone about this unique instrument. Therefore, our concerts often include audience participation and question-and-answer times. New choir members need not have previous handbell experience – we will teach them!
Enrich – We believe that music is good for the soul. As a community choir, we work to bring together people of all different backgrounds through music.
